Report: Monthly to Kingdom

Greetings unto Bela and Claudia, King and Queen of the Outlands, Artan and Aziza, Prince and Princess of the Outlands, Conte Giovanni, Outlands Seneschal, the Outlands College of Heralds, and to all others who come by these letters, from Lady Sorcha MacLeod, White Stag Principal Herald!

Please accept my apologies for the tardiness of this report - I've been battling a cold for over a week now, along with other varied real life drama.

Items of note:

• Vacancies in kingdom staff: Fretty Herald (CoA commenter), Trefoil Herald (CoA commenter).
• Rampart indicates a desire to find and train a successor.
• Note that only the new submissions forms are now accepted.

Current activities:

• Informational/Educational articles for Outlandish Herald by White Stag. Goal: Each month.
  Meeting goal, with exception for January 2006 issue as previously noted.
• Informational/Educational posts to Outlands-heralds list by White Stag or other senior herald. Goal: Each week minimum.
  Meeting goal, thanks to the efforts of my senior heralds.
• Plover reports that the Second Annual Field Heraldry Challenge has not drawn much interest, and he has decided to not continue it.
• The Wimble website now includes a handy search feature. More search capability is planned for the future.
• I noticed a minor section of the Administrative Handbook that might benefit from review, and sent a message to Laurel detailing a suggested alternative. I hope to see the issue discussed among the CoA in the near future, to see if my colleagues also see a benefit to rewrite of that portion.

Summary of Reports:

Normally, I would summarize reports, but I will settle for noting that reporting is up, but there is still room for improvement.

Administrivia:

Finances are in the hands of the Kingdom Exchequer. Castle reports to the Exchequer each month on checks received for which groups, submitters, and items, and Rampart requests payment to Laurel for submissions likewise itemized.
